CafeGive Going Green with Humane Society Silicon Valley's New Animal Community Center

The great thing about working at CafeGive is you get to work with great people. One of my favorites is Mary Enderle, a dog lover just like me. Mary was instrumental in helping the Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) join the CafeGive community.

The HSSV has been serving both people and pets for over 80 years. Recently, they moved into their new home in Milpitas, CA called the Animal Community Center. This Center, the first environmentally “green” certified animal facility in the US, offers an adoption program as well as other pet and community services including:
  • Medical center with affordable spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping and testing services
  • Dog park
  • Doggie daycare, boarding, training and grooming
  • Education center with programs for children and teens
  • Community room available for groups
  • Whole pets store
  • Pet-friendly cafĂ©
Mary has been involved with HSSV for over four years in a variety of ways, from marketing volunteer to cat socializer. She calls HSSV a “true animal community center”. And like CafeGive they focus on the community, a great social network of employees, volunteers and donors. They believe in making a difference in not just animals’ lives, but the people who love them.

If you love pets or know someone that loves pets, send them a shopping widget featuring HSSV and one of the great online pet stores featured on CafeGive: The Natural Pet Store, PetSmart, 1-800-PetMeds, EntirelyPets.com, Sitstay.com.
